About Bruce Stewart
After 8 years of practice in California and New York, Bruce Stewart opened Sage Traditions to offer the benefits of holistic heathcare to south San Diego County.

Bruce graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1998. He is Board Certified in Acupuncture Orthopedics (National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics), a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), and is licensed to practice in California by the State Acupuncture Board (License #AC6392).

Bruce brings a gentle, safe, and tradition-based approach to the practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Patients are pleased to find that “it doesn’t hurt” and they often leave a treatment with a positive outcome and a sensation of relaxation and renewal.

Bruce’s training and experience allows him to understand his patient’s signs, symptoms, medical history, and prior medical diagnoses. With information gathered through a thorough examination, he is able to construct a treatment plan that seeks to address not just pain or dysfunction but the entire body, mind, and spirit.

This is the essence of holistic therapy: treat the root to affect the branch, i.e., if a practitioner can address imbalances in the deeper, constitutional level of an individual then aches, pains, and functional problems of the nervous, musculoskeletal, endocrine, digestive, and reproductive systems will be resolved.
